"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." – Fred Rogers
This quote perfectly reflects my approach as a play therapist. Play is not only how children express themselves but also how they heal, grow, and make sense of their world. Through play, I create a safe and nurturing space where children can explore their emotions, build resilience, and strengthen their relationships.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, specializing in children and youth, and am a certified AutPlay Therapy Provider and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). My practice is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches. With specialized training in infant mental health and parent-child interaction, I focus on supporting young children and their families through challenges like anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma and strengthening parent-child relationships.

My professional experience spans a variety of roles and settings, including working as an educational assistant with the Vancouver School Board, supporting neurodiverse children in after-school programs, and providing in-home support to families with preschoolers.

I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where children and families feel seen, heard, and valued. My client-centred approach integrates evidence-based practices like Narrative Therapy and Child-Centred Play Therapy. Grounded in anti-racist and intersectional frameworks, I tailor my sessions to honour each family’s unique strengths and lived experiences.

Together, we’ll nurture resilience, foster meaningful connections, and support your child’s growth.

About Favour

My journey into working with kids began when I was 10 years old, and I decided to start a babysitter’s club in my neighbourhood! Organizing a team and supporting families sparked my passion, which has grown into a fulfilling career as a Clinical Counsellor helping children and families thrive.

I have a special interest in supporting actors and families in the film industry and am trained in on-set mental health coordination. I’m also committed to providing culturally sensitive, strengths-based care, especially for Black children, children of colour, and Black transracial adoptees.

Outside of counselling, I love performing arts, singing to musicals, exploring Victoria’s beauty, trying to learn Spanish, and dreaming about the day I finally get a puppy!
