ADHD Assessments
Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder
An ADHD assessment aims to diagnose and understand Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder in children and young adults.
Identifying and supporting individuals with ADHD is essential to help them reach their full potential and navigate a world that might not always align with their unique neurotype. Those with ADHD often experience difficulties with attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. These challenges can affect their academic performance, relationships, and overall quality of life. Tailoring strategies and interventions to their specific needs can empower them to manage their symptoms effectively, develop essential life skills, and succeed in their academic, personal, and professional pursuits.
An ADHD assessment includes cognitive and academic testing alongside more specific tools to assess attention and executive functioning.
The assessment may also include observations & interviews. These are generally selected on an individual basis dependent on the presenting problem, and may be done through interviews, questionnaires, in-class or in-office observations.
Our ADHD assessments are available for individuals of ages 6+ who suspect they may be dealing with symptoms of ADHD.
Whether you’re a concerned parent, an adult seeking clarity, or a professional aiming to improve focus and productivity, our assessments are designed to provide you with the insights and support you need to thrive.
The assessment process includes an intake interview, two assessment sessions of up to 3 hours and one debrief session after the report is completed to go over the results. The turnaround time for reports is 6-8 weeks. Assessment sessions are generally booked close together, but the overall timeline is subject to change based on availability and booking preferences.
No referral is required. Please call or e-mail our office to book.
The cost of the assessment is $3,000. This is a bundle price; if more sessions are needed to complete the assessment, you will not pay more.
An ADHD assessment is in essence a psych-ed assessment, with increased focus on attention and executive functioning; this means that some more specific tests may be used to further investigate attentional abilities and their impact on everyday life.
