I care deeply about supporting families holistically through the many seasons and challenges that life brings.
My passion for working with children began early in life through years of volunteering in my youth. My interest in counselling sparked when I began working with survivors of domestic violence after completing my Bachelor degree in Child and Youth Care. This experience led me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology so I could better support children and families navigating complex challenges. Through my many years in the non-profit world, I have worked with families encountering a variety of challenges, including trauma, family separation, and attachment difficulties and have supported children and youth in many different areas such as emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, and strengthening the mind-body connection.

Still working in the anti-violence field today, my counselling approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, intersectional, and feminist foundation. My practice is rooted in a strengths-based and person-centred approach with a strong emphasis on attachment theory, meaning that I believe it is essential to establish safe and authentic therapeutic relationships. I understand the complexities of families and how essential it is to work with parents and caregivers as collaborators throughout the counselling process. I currently draw on strategies from a neurodevelopmental perspective, play and art therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, among others, in order to tailor my approach to the specific needs of each child, teen, or family.
I provide individual counselling for children and teens as well as coaching and support for parents and caregivers. Additionally, I offer a specialized form of family counselling called Integrative Attachment Family Therapy (IAFT) that focuses on strengthening the attachment relationship between caregivers and their children. In addition, I am trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), an evidence-based approach for treating child and adolescent anxiety and OCD by working directly with their parents.
In my own time, I enjoy various crafts, including knitting and crochet, watching documentaries, baking gluten-free treats, and spending time with loved ones.
