Registered Speech & Language Pathologist

Stephanie Mohr

Helping your little one find their voice.
As a speech language pathologist, I strive to support children and families by offering holistic, evidence-based intervention that is grounded in a child’s strengths and unique gifts.  I am deeply passionate and committed to supporting families with young children with autism and have spent the majority of my career in early intervention settings, often being the first point of contact for a family as they begin their journey navigating an assessment for autism and the intervention that follows.

I am part of the BC Autism Assessment Network (BCAAN) and Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions team(s) at the Sunny Hill Health Centre at BC Children’s Hospital, and I am a registered autism service provider for British Columbia.

I hold a Masters degree in Speech Pathology from Griffith University in Brisbane Australia where I completed my clinical training, graduating with honours in 2018.  I also hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing for Stage & Screen from Northwestern University in Chicago Illinois.  Prior to entering the field of speech pathology I worked in the entertainment industry as a writer, director and (occasionally) an actor! I have taught creative writing courses to children and young adults at Northwestern University, Interlochen Arts School, as well as high schools and juvenile detention centers across the Greater Chicago Area.

Whether it is through writing, or the spoken word my aim throughout my career has been to empower children to find joy, confidence, and connection through communication.

I currently hold the following certifications:

Beyond my work, I enjoy jogging, reading, surfing, traveling around the globe, and spending time with my family.
