Registered Clinical Counsellor

Kylee Medgyesi

Fostering meaningful change, self-discovery and healing.

Kylee has a masters of Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria and will be joining the Seasons Family Centre team as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She provides a non-judgmental and warm space for clients to work towards their goals while processing trauma and life events. She works to empower her clients through eliciting their strengths and highlighting feelings of capacity.

Kylee takes an integrative approach to counselling that includes trauma-informed, systems, client-centered and strengths-based approaches. She believes it is the counsellor’s role to find therapeutic avenues that fit her clients’ unique lives, meaning each client receives a personalized approach that suits their needs. In doing so, Kylee believes her clients can directly apply their counselling sessions to their everyday lives.

Kylee’s role as a counsellor is to foster meaningful change, self-discovery and healing.  She incorporates expressive techniques into her practice, including play and art; her goal is to make counselling engaging and fun for her clients. This approach leads to noticeable, positive change in her clients’ daily lives.

Kylee has experience supporting children and youth in a variety of environments, including recreational programs, school classrooms, community non-profits, and legal/forensic settings.

In her spare time, Kylee can be found out in nature with her dog Joey, knitting new projects, or reading a cheesy mystery novel.
